BARIXÁ
Barixá (baa - ree - shah) is a cultural hub and organisation founded by Kawá Huni Kuin, Dr Verónica Castro and myself, with an aim of supporting and amplifying Indigenous wisdom of the Huni Kuin people in Brazilian rainforest. Our work primarily includes fundraising, ceremonies, circles, courses and retreats. We work directly with Indigenous artisans (particularly women) to empower their independence by selling their arts, crafts and medicines like Hapé and Sananga.
